Welcome to our platform. If you continue to browse and use this platform, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern Docotal’s relationship with you in relation to this platform. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our platform.

2. User License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Docotal’s platform for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

  • modify or copy the materials;
  • use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
  • attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Docotal’s platform;
  • remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
  • transfer the materials to another person or “mirror” the materials on any other server.

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Docotal at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

3. Disclaimer

The contents of the Docotal platform, such as text, graphics, images, information obtained from Docotal’s licensors, and other material contained on the Docotal platform are for informational purposes only. The Content is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of information you have obtained from us. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately. Docotal does not recommend or endorse any specific tests, physicians, products, procedures, opinions, or other information that may be mentioned on the Site. Reliance on any information provided by us is solely at your own risk. The Site may contain health- or medical-related materials that are sexually explicit. If you find these materials offensive, you may not want to use our platform.

4. Limitations

In no event shall Docotal or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Docotal’s platform, even if Docotal or a Docotal authorised representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. This is because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you. Our services are not for use in medical emergencies and are not in real time. We do not have access to patient’s medical history and we only deal with the information provided by the patients. We encourage you to seek on-ground medical attention to share our opinion. By using our platform we believe you are aware of our limitations and acting independently.

5. Payment and Access

Users have access to free 20 credits on default. To continue to enjoy our services users will buy more once the 20 units has being exhausted. A credit will be charged for every 10 words typed by the Doctor. The first two messages from the doctor for each chat will remain free. A valid credit card is required for purchasing credits. Payments will be processed through the Google Play or iTunes app store from which you originally downloaded the application.

6. Revisions and Errata

Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this platform for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law. Your use of any information or materials on this platform is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this platform meet your specific requirements. Docotal does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.

Docotal has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Internet platform and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. These links are provided for your convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that we endorse the website(s). Use of any such linked web site is at the user’s own risk.

Docotal may revise these terms of use for its web site at any time without notice. By using this web site you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Conditions of Use.

This platform contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions. All trade marks reproduced in this platform which are not the property of, or licensed to, the operator are acknowledged on the platform. Unauthorised use of this platform may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence. Your use of this platform and any dispute arising out of such use of the platform is subject to the laws of Nigeria.
